Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow…#for the shepards who came to terms with their own mortality on a desolate wintry cliffside on alchera #for the shepards who hated the sound of their own breath echoing metallic inside their helmets until realizing it was the hallmark of life #irritating repetitive anxious beautiful reliable blessed life #for the shepards who found the helmet that kept them alive throughout a previous lifetime right up until it didn’t #and instead of burying it to show respect for the dead #carried it with them as a morbid reminder #of the galaxy who needed them enough to drag them back from the frozen serenity of death

Shepard: Why me? Why put me in charge of all this?Hackett: Shepard, let me tell you something that I’ve learned the hard way. You can pay a soldier to fire a gun. You can pay him to charge the enemy and take a hill. But you can’t pay him to believe.

So this is my favorite piece of the Mass Effect expanded universe, okay.
During the release of Mass Effect 3, Bioware created a twitter account that would simulate a Reaper invasion A.K.A livetweet it.
The character they chose to portray was Emily Wong, the journalist you encounter on the Citadel in the original Mass Effect game to look for signs of corruption.
After a couple of heart-wrenching tweets, Emily Wong posted her last. Someone went ahead and made it into a beauty of a SoundCloud post.
You can pinpoint the exact moment where I get goosebumps.
